The German and Swiss branches make up the institutional backbone of the IATC and are where most training activities take place. For example, Moldovan doctors have spent considerable time in German and Swiss hospitals gaining first-hand experience. This allows for an efficient knowledge transfer between developed, developing and transition countries.
