Serbia

Serbia is another focal point of the IATC network. Here, the main focus has been on improving continued education, particularly for anesthesiologists with little or no pediatric experience. A yearly workshop series has thus been introduced in the spring of 2009 which will eventually become a European pediatric anesthesiology course.

Professor Dusica Simic, Children University Hospital of Belgrade: "It is a great pleasure to announce once again, the traditional International Summer School of Paediatric Anaesthesia, organized under the auspices of the University Children’s Hospital, Belgrade, the Serbian Association of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists (SAAI) and the International Anaesthesia Teaching Centre (IATC), in Belgrade, May 20 – 21, 2011. For the third year in a row, the School is accredited by the Medical Council of Serbia as a CME activity of the Belgrade University Medical School and recognized and endorsed by the scientific committees of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) and the European Society of Anesthesiology (ESA). The scientific program, the distinguished international speakers, the support of International and National professional organisations and the Serbian Ministry of Health make the school stand out."
